At GAF, we are committed to transforming lives and creating lasting change through empowering programmes for women and girls in Nigeria. From supporting small business growth to advancing career opportunities in STEM, each of our initiatives is designed to uplift, empower, and provide sustainable pathways to success. Join us in making a difference and be a part of these inspiring journeys.
The Girls in Career Boost (GCB) program is a flagship initiative of GAF, meticulously crafted to inspire, equip, and empower young girls to pursue rewarding careers in STEM fields. Through a strategic blend of mentorship, hands-on learning experiences, and exposure to real-world applications of STEM concepts, GCB is strategically positioned to tackle the pervasive underrepresentation of girls in STEM, while simultaneously nurturing a robust pipeline of talented and passionate female professionals poised to make significant contributions in these critical fields.
The MarketCare Program is a multifaceted initiative aimed at improving the well-being and prosperity of market women in Benin City, Edo State. Recognizing the vital role these women play in local economies and communities, the program is tailored to address their unique challenges and empower them with the necessary resources and support systems to not just survive, but thrive in their endeavours. Through a combination of targeted interventions, the Program seeks to uplift and empower market women, fostering a more equitable and prosperous future for all.
The Thrive100 Initiative empowers rural women in Nigeria by providing ₦100,000 grants to support and expand their small businesses. Most of these women are widows and single mothers, but they play critical role as providers and community anchors. Thrive100 offers them the means to restock essential goods, increase their income, and build resilience. Through this support, the initiative fosters economic stability, enabling these women to achieve lasting growth and make an enduring impact within their families and communities at large.
