Why we exist

The Problem

In Nigeria, women and girls face many obstacles that limit their opportunities for education and economic success. Those working in the informal sector lack benefits, affecting their overall wellbeing. Limited access to quality healthcare and education further impedes their socioeconomic progress and reinforces gender inequalities.

Our Vision

A Nigeria where women and girls flourish as confident and influential leaders, contributing significantly to national development.

Our Approach

GAF takes a holistic approach to empower women and girls through education, economic support, and advocacy. We currently focus on enhancing the overall wellbeing, including mental health and economic resilience, of market women (informal traders) and inspiring young girls in STEM. Our programs address immediate needs while fostering long-term social equity and sustainable development.

Market Women Empowerment Study Report.

Discover vital insights from our recent comprehensive study on market women in Nigeria. The study is a brief baseline assessment for our MarketCare program and it sheds light on the health and economic challenges faced by market women and offers actionable recommendations to support their well-being and economic empowerment..
