About the Opportunity

The GCB STEM Ambassador Programme is a volunteer opportunity designed for STEM undergraduates or professionals based in Edo State, Nigeria. This programme is tailored for individuals passionate about fostering the next generation of STEM leaders. Through workshops, mentorship sessions, and hands-on projects, ambassadors play a vital role in inspiring young girls to explore and excel in STEM fields.

The programme is part of the larger Girls in Career Boost (GCB) initiative, which focuses on empowering young girls through three structured phases:

  • Foundation Level: Introducing young girls to STEM concepts through workshops and hands-on activities.
  • Intermediary Level: Expanding knowledge with problem-solving activities and mentor-led projects.
  • Advanced Level: Preparing participants for careers or further studies in STEM with intensive training and real-world applications.
